What is not to be missed?
You can find several big Walk-in Aviaries, where thousands of birds can be seen flying freely, as if it is their natural habitat. The ones that are to be certainly viewed are the Southeast Asian Bird aviaries and the Lory Loft.
The birds at this park are unique. At the time of bird feeding, they come to you, unlike the other birds that you have come across. Here, the birds are quite co-operative and friendly. Moreover, they are also eager to pose for the camera. You can check out the time to feed the Starling and Bee-Eater at Waterfall Aviary. The penguin feeding session at Punguin Expedition is also very much attractive.
Two bird shows said to be conducted on a professional manner. If you plan to visit a show, then you need to visit ‘Birds of Prey’. Equally, ‘Birds n Buddies’ is highly entertaining.
How to reach Jurong Bird Park?
From Orchard Rd MRT Station
You can board at Somerset, Dhoby Ghaut or Orchard MRT Station (to Marina Bay Station). Get down at the Raffles Place Station and walk to other side of platform for transferring to the East West Line (to Joo Koon Station).
Get down at the Boon Lay Station. Take C Exit towards Boon-Lay Bus Interchange. Now take 251 bus numbers and get down at the bus stop for Jurong Bird Park that is a stop later. The entire journey would take around 75 minutes (not to include the waiting time), with total fare of around S$1.80.
From Chinatown or Little India MRT Station
You can board at Chinatown, Farrer Park or Little India MRT Station (to HarborFront Station). Get down at the Outram Park Station. Then transfer to East West Line (which is another platform present in the same station. It takes around 2 minutes to walk) to Joo Koon Station.
Get down at the Boon Lay Station. Take C Exit towards Boon-Lay Bus Interchange and take 251 number bus and get down at Jurong Bird park stop which is a stop later. The entire journey is about 65 – 80 minutes (not taking into account the waiting time) and depends on the station from where you board. Estimated fare is around S$1.70 – S$2.

Timing: 8:30am – 6pm everyday (with last entry being 5:30pm)
Ticket rates: Rates for Child S$13 (for 3 – 12 years of age); Adult S$21.
